In 2003... I received an e-mail from a fan of The Waltons, who had visited my Walton web-site. She liked my Waltons Christmas Web-page and asked me if I would do an on-line TV Guide of all the wonderful CHRISTmas Movies / Specials on Television. I have always made a Christmas TV list for myself, so I decided to put my list on-line for others to see, too.

1. Who are... The Waltons?  The Waltons are a fictional television family based on the real life story of the Hamner family. The acting on the show is so good... I know many have trouble believing they are not truly a real family.
2. Who are... the Hamners? The Hamners are the real-life family of Earl Hamner, the writer, and creator of The Waltons series. The character of John Boy is based on his growing up years in the depression-era Mountains of Virginia.
3. When did... The Waltons air on TV? The show aired from 1972-1978 on CBS. Six Reunion Movies followed.
4. What are... The Waltons Reunion Movies? Three aired in 1982 on NBC. They were A Wedding on Waltons Mountain (Erin's Wedding), Mothers Day on Waltons Mountain (Mary Ellen's Wedding), and A Day of Thanks on Waltons Mountain (Thanksgiving). The other three movies aired on CBS in 1993, 1995, and 1997.
